I have been fighting GB since last summer. I was hospitalized at my hospital that I work at as a cna. I was visiting my coworkers while I was at rehab.
This was me about a week and a half latter. We were getting me ready to return to work. I'm a cna. You know working in the health field would think it would help getting diagnosed faster. 3 ER visits, visits to my primary, orthopedic surgeon, then a neurologist I finally got answers.
Did a full 5 days of IVIG and started feeling better. (End of October). Ended up as an in patient on Christmas Eve when I fell for the 5th time. I went back to work end of January. I was hospitalized again towards the end of February.
I've been back to work since the end of March. So far so good with the combo of meds and IVIG treatments now for 2 days every 4 weeks. The worst that I got was not being able to use my hands properly, lift my purse from the floor to the table, not being able to walk, falling up stairs, down stairs, level ground and out of my shower. I am now able to take care of myself and my patients again
